How an evolution is paid
You craft an evolution item, spend Gold, and turn a unit into its named form. In-match power still comes from Yen upgrades. Gold for the craft comes from selling units, Challenges, Tower of Eternity, and quests.
The community item table printed Gold and several material counts, but the material names beside those counts were icons. This guide lists the craft item, the Gold, and the result. It does not guess the icon names. Open Crafting for the same rows.

Divine Tyrant, an Ancient from the special Ancient banner, evolves to Celestial Tyrant with x1 Blood Chalice. Dracula (Weakened) from the Vampire Castle raid evolves to Dracula (50%), then to Dracula (100%). Garcia, from the Red One raid, uses Christmas Cookies. An April 2025 tier article calls King of Dragons a 2-star Mythical that evolves from Flame Dragon God. That is a later claim than the Fire Dragon Soul recipe and is not the same craft.
What to evolve first
Evolve a unit you already place in Story or Infinite. Flame Dragon God, The Cursed Knight (Unlocked), Donut Master, and Celestial Tyrant are the evolutions that community meta notes actually describe. A 26,500 Gold craft for a unit you will replace next banner is the expensive mistake.
Star Rifts from Challenges are the usual crafting material family. Colors named in challenge rewards include Yellow, Blue, Green, Purple, Red, Rainbow, Dark, and Light. Demand notes treat blue star rifts as more sought than green ones. One trading example priced blue star rifts around 250 Gems, as an illustration of demand, not a fixed market.
